Boulder Digital Arts was founded in February of 2004 by Bruce Borowsky and Zach Daudert. Today it continues to be the only organization of its kind in the region. We are committed to empowering and encouraging the vast creative and technology community in Colorado as well as attracting talent from around the country and world to participate in our innovative programs.

Together with our financial partners we provide very low-cost, high-impact training in digital tools and state-of-the-art technology presented by seasoned professionals and industry leaders. Boulder is an important hub of the digital world allowing us to leverage top-notch instructors and provide education in cutting-edge subjects and ideas.

BDA also supports the creative and technology community in the region with regular networking and social events, membership program, Digital Salon series, free creative professionals directory, discussion forums and mentoring/internship opportunities.

Boulder Digital Arts operates two facilities in Boulder. Both are designed to serve the creative community and, in particular, our members!

Our primary facility is the Arapahoe Studio, located on the northeast corner of Range Street and Arapahoe (approximately 52nd and Arapahoe). This studio houses our classroom, digital lounge and incubator offices. BDA members have access to our Digital Lab program allowing them to use our fully-loaded, state-of-the-art Macintosh computers for their projects.

The Broadway Production Studio is a professional production studio for exclusive use by BDA members.

Bruce Borowsky, Co-Founder Boulder Digital Arts Bruce Borowsky, Co-Founder
In addition to being a Co-Founder of Boulder Digital Arts, Bruce Borowsky has been a producer at People Productions in Boulder, Colorado for over ten years. During that time he has worked on a wide variety of projects for both corporate and commercial clientele, not only as producer and director, but also as cameraman, lighting director, and editor. Prior to working at People Productions, Bruce produced The Climbing Show," a half-hour television series broadcast nationally on the Outdoor Channel. While getting his Masters at San Francisco State University, Bruce had the good fortune to work full-time for well-known adventure photographer Galen Rowell. Bruce recently won a national award for a video he created for Alliance for Smiles, which he filmed entirely in China. In addition, his personal documentary "18 days, 16 hours," which recounted his crewing on a sailboat race across the Atlantic ocean in 2002, won "Best Documentary" award at a national film festival. Zach Daudert, Co-Founder Boulder Digital Arts Zach Daudert, Co-Founder
Zach Daudert is a technology strategist, web developer and filmmaker. He started his career as a video editor in the mid 1990s and moved into web and mobile development when it became too interesting to ignore and promised a seemingly unlimited source of curiosity and experiments in the early 2000s. He has helped all types of organizations leverage technology to create great customer experiences, realize efficiencies or become more profitable. Sometimes he can simply make life more enjoyable and interesting by introducing people to the right mix of technology tools. Zach works to live in the Republic of Boulder, Colorado and El Valle de Anton in the Republic of Panama. He is passionate about growing things including plants and operates an amateur mad laboratory. Kira Woodmansee, Operations Manager, Boulder Digital Arts Kira Woodmansee, Operations Manager
Kira Woodmansee began working for BDA as an event coordinator and organizer in 2008, shortly after settling on Boulder as her permanent home. While majoring in art and working at the student computer help desk at Carleton College, she was struck by the wide and unnecessary gulf between the worlds of fine art and technology. Kira studied web and graphic design alongside fine art illustration and made a career out of being the person who can explain technology to artists. Since graduating, she has combined technical, aesthetic, and organizational skills to help a variety of art-related businesses thrive. Kira devotes her free time to her webcomic, Castle Whatsitsname, and spending nights in spooky buildings as a paranormal investigator. Click here to email Kira.
