BDA Installs Live Recording System for Rich's Tennis School

Rich's Tennis School Offers Cutting Edge Technology to Students

Rich's Tennis School in Erie, Colorado is now offering state-of-the-art, high-definition video recording of lessons and court play. The tennis video recording system is the first of its kind in the country.

Tennis students and players can request to have their session recorded. Live streaming video is sent to a dedicated CPU and may be viewed on a 36" monitor at the school. Students may leave with a flash drive of their session to view at a later time. Rich's Tennis School also has the capability to offer live streaming video viewing from a remote location.

"There is no one offering this type of service. We have always offered video recording via a handheld camera. Now, we have multiple cameras installed around the court and the recording is seamless. This is the biggest advancement in video recording in 40 plus years of my coaching career and our students thoroughly enjoy it. Some are now arriving with their own flash drives to record their session, then review their lessons at a later time. I absolutely love the system, and our students have become more engaged. Whoever said a picture is worth a thousand words was a 1000% right. Well done Bruce Borowsky and Zach Daudert of Boulder Digital Arts," states Rich Berman, owner of Rich's Tennis School.

Developed by Boulder Digital Arts (BDA), the proprietary software and video recording system was originally created for BDA to be used in their classroom. BDA is a resource organization best known for offering affordable, practical skills focused training in cutting-edge digital tools and technologies. They created the video recording system to offer their innovative programs on-demand to an international market.

Bruce Borowsky, co-owner of BDA explains, "Rich and I have worked together in the past and when he expressed an interest in video recording, we discovered it was the perfect match between what we developed at BDA and what he wanted to offer his students. Rich was interested in a turn-key system that would be extremely user-friendly. The pros at Rich's Tennis School can easily access all of the features including split screens, slow-motion, and frame-by-frame analysis."

"A few years ago, a system like this would have been cost-prohibitive for small business owners. Technology has improved to a point where greater capability is accessible at a lower price, so small business owners can now afford this type of cutting edge technology." Tennis students, Harrison and Spencer Lang expressed their enthusiasm about the new system, "Wow! It's as if our coaches (Rich, Alan, and Chad) are with us at home. Also, because our parents work, they now can see how hard we are working to improve."
