David Fodel
David Fodel has a background in advertising production and graphic design, project management and training. He is an electronic media generalist with broad technical production skills and organizational experience. Fodel has worked as a freelance designer, a production artist in a small design firm, a marketing coordinator and project manager for Wild Oats Markets, and as a consultant for retail advertising software systems for clients including Circuit City, Ace Hardware, PetCo, JC Penney, Best Buy, and Belk Department Stores. Fodel has also been a consultant to SAP Labs / Khimetrics. He is an Adjunct Instructor in the Digital Media Studies department at the University of Denver.
David Fodel was born in Baltimore, MD, USA in 1960. In addition to his professional work, he has produced electronic music and media art for over 20 years. His artistic work has been presented at the International Symposium on Electronic Arts, 911 Media Arts Center (Seattle), Raindance Film Festival (London), Pompidou Centre (Paris), Nemo Festival (Paris), Cité de la Musique (Paris), ICA (London), among others. His music has been released on Obliq Recordings, Moonshine Records, Shadow Puppet Recordings, ADAPT Records, and Social Services Recordings.
Fodel has recently exhibited and performed his personal intermedial works at the Communikey Festival of Electronic Arts in Boulder, Center for Visual Arts, Museum of Contemporary Art, The Belmar Lab of Art and Ideas, and the ADAPT Festival in Denver and the Transmediale Salon in Berlin.
