Rocky Thompson founded Gaia Video to tell stories for people and organizations that are working to save the earth. Gaia Video specializes in green, sustainability and environmentally-focused video direction, production and editing. We work with our clients to pull out their most compelling stories, script and videotape them, and bring their message to larger audiences.

We have won numerous awards for our video scripting, videography and editing. Rocky Thompson, Gaia Video Productions founder, is also the President of the Board of the Colorado Environmental Film Festival and an advocate for sustainability through his participation in and video production for Colorado Renewable Energy Society, Colorado Green Building Guild and the Center for Resource Conservation.

Rocky came to Boulder from the East Coast to attend CU in the seventies, got a BA in Fine Arts and became a fine-art entrepreneur. He fell into videography in the eighties and fell headlong into video production when Apple introduced its Final Cut Pro technology in the nineties. Today, Gaia Video Productions works with most of the environmental organizations, builders and government agencies in the greater Denver area, having built a reputation for on-time, on-budget and emotionally engaging video projects that support and promote earth-friendly practices.
