Mimi Elmore

Mimi is a graphic designer by education and profession, but a fine artist by desire. In her own words, "Like all artists, my work is a reflection of everything I've learned and experienced. It's taken me years to perfect the process I use to get such artistic realism and luminescent colors in my originals. My desire is to open the door to the real beauty and inner radiance of a flower, so it's soul can be revealed. Each piece of art that I paint on my computer and then again in my studio takes weeks and sometimes months to create. I love every minute of the process. I literally lose myself in the intimate beauty of the flower while I discover and capture its life essence. After the art is printed to canvas, I repaint each original in my studio with acylic paint creating the fine details thus bringing the orignal to life making it unique and giving it more depth." The artwork displayed was chosen to be included in the "Best of Colorado" show at DIA to celebrate the opening of the new wing of the Denver Art Museum in 2006.

In addition to Mimi's skill as a fine artist, she is a skilled photo-retoucher and photo restoration specialist.
