Transforming Photography, Transforming Artists -
A Photography/Photoshop Extravaganza!
A GREAT selection of presentations by several well-known professional photographers and Photoshop experts!
Photoshop luminary Mark S. Johnson
will talk and give a demo on the art of portrait compositing. By photographing models in front of a white backdrop and compositing them with HDR backgrounds, the creative artist has total control over the light, texture, and atmospheric effects...resulting in breathtaking, edgy portraits that look like they belong in a movie poster!
From Raw Photo-Realistic to Enhanced Digital Art - The Effect of the Digital Rendering on Photography as Art - photographer and author Robert Castellino
will explore how photo-realism on film has given way to the craft of digitally rendering images. He will explore how the key elements of exposure, composition and subject affect digitally enhanced photographs. He will illustrate through a sequence of 4 images how digital rendering has affected his approach to deliver photographs to wide range of viewers through a variety artistic mediums.
Nationally-known photographer Stephen Collector
was named artist in residence at Mesa Verde National National Park, and was awarded a 2 week stay at a historic Civilian Conservation Corp stone hogan. This residency is a juried competition with only 4 artists selected per season. In September of 2012, Stephen has been awarded artist in residence at the Frank Waters Foundation in Arroyo Seco, above Taos, NM. Stephen will discuss his experience as an artist in residence and show some images from his residency.
And lastly, renowned Photoshop trainer Jan Kabili
will give a quick peek at the incredible new features of Photoshop CS6 Public Beta! BTW, you can download the app for free from labs.adobe.com
to play with and test before the final release!Last chance to see the Live Concert & Stage Performance Art Show Exhibition
