The Boulder Filmmaking Incubator!

Founded in 2006, the Boulder Filmmaking Incubator is a leader in producing independent movies… from short films to feature length… from narratives to documentaries… and winning numerous awards along the way.

As a reliable resource for Independent and Emergent filmmakers in Colorado, the Boulder Filmmaking Incubator provides an environment where people from all disciplines of filmmaking can meet to share experiences, problem solve, bounce around ideas, and cooperate to make their films a reality. Our members find that the opportunity to network and collaborate can be invaluable in helping a project reach its highest level of quality.

Working on your own projects? You can screen your work at our monthly meetings. Want to work on a project? Network with other filmmakers to get on board. Don't miss this month's meeting:  "Producing Content for PBS and TV Audiences"

If TV is a target for your movies, don't miss this meeting! Cynthia Hessin, Executive Producer of Rocky Mountain PBS will discuss the content that PBS seeks and will provide the technical requirements required for airing.

Ms. Hessin has a long and distinguished career in TV.  She leads decision-making and production of local information programming for Rocky Mountain PBS. She is moderator of the weekly news discussion program, Colorado State of Mind, and also oversees and produces a variety of other projects for the statewide network.

Her honors include regional and national honors from the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Association for Women in Communications as well as the Colorado Broadcasters Association.

She has also earned six regional Emmy awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Heartland Chapter, for writing, producing and performance.

BDA strives to empower the creative community in Colorado, so we're happy to host a wide range of relevant meetups, user groups and other community events. Though Boulder Digital Arts is not involved in this event in any way, we are happy to host it at our Arapahoe Studio. We offer it to relevant community groups throughout the year at no charge.
