Getting Started with Final Cut Pro
Registration is required for this offering (below).
Description:
Are you ready for something more than iMovie? Have you opened up Final Cut and are lost or worried you were doing something wrong? Maybe you have a couple of editing ideas down but want to become better versed at the basics of workflow? Then this three-hour lecture-style workshop is for you! We'll cover how to set up your computer so it works best with Final Cut and teach how to get your project off the ground - from Digitizing to Basic Editing. By the end of the class you should be able to start from scratch on your own project and get a timeline built. Then, wait for the Oscars to roll on in!

Not sure about the differences between Final Cut Studio (a suite of editing applications) and Final Cut Express (a condensed version of Final Cut Pro)? Check out this article on Final Cut Pro vs. Final Cut Express to learn about which software is right for you. BDA's offerings, including this one, focus on Final Cut Pro, and not everything taught in this workshop will apply to Final Cut Express.

Instruction is presented in Final Cut Studio 3 with Final Cut Pro 7.

Participant Comments
Offered more detail on some tools I had figured out for myself. It also opened up some easier ways to do things.
