Description:
This two-evening course will cover the fundamentals of the AJAX model
along with techniques used to create
AJAX-enabled web applications. Over the course of the two nights you'll
learn about both the capabilities and limitations of the framework.
Simple examples will be provided.
We'll be covering the following topics during the workshop: - What is AJAX / Toolkit overview - When to use AJAX - Understanding the toolkit - Managing a connection - Extracting and Serializing Data - Interacting with the page - Analyzing the work flow - Frameworks and software applications through the web

Presented as a Lecture-Style Workshop:
These are our most affordable training programs, designed to introduce a subject quickly and efficiently. Students can take notes from the instructor's projected computer screen, and/or bring their own computer to follow along. Lecture-style workshops are normally held on weekday evenings from 6 pm – 9 pm and contain a maximum of 30 students (average is 8-20).
Who Should Take This:
Students should have a solid scripting background, and be ready to work with JavaScript, and XML examples for the class. An understanding of client side scripting compared to server side scripting is required as well as an applied understanding of document object model is recommended.
Instructor:
Adam Hevenor has been a web developer for Wall Street on Demand and on the front lines of the web application trend since the .dot com era. Building on a Computer Science degree from the University of Colorado, he has been interested in the web as an application realm and has become an expert on web standards. For the last 5 years Adam has developed financial tools, to screen, alert and analyze financial data for top online brokerages such as Schwab, Fidelity, and JP Morgan Chase.
