Description:
Fuel your creative thinking and learn how to visualize images in a
completely new way! Watch as a seasoned Photoshop professional edits
audience images live in front of the class. During this 3 hour workshop,
Mark performs live Photoshop edits on 6 - 12 audience images, and
discusses each technique in detail as he goes. Not only is the audience
exposed to a variety of essential Photoshop techniques they are also
fully immersed in the creative process. Participants are encouraged to
interact with Mark to discover fresh and explosive ways to approach images. Guidelines for Submitting an Image: Please submit only one unedited image. Images that will benefit the
class are those that are in need of help – whether it be color
correction, retouching, or perhaps even creative compositing. Please do
no submit beautiful finished files. Files should be Jpegs no larger then
2MB in size. The largest dimension of the image should be no larger than
1024 pixels at 100 ppi. Please email your files directly to Mark at
mark@msjphotography.com no later than Tuesday October 28. If
you'd prefer to submit a Camera Raw file, or if you're hoping to do a
composite that requires more than one image, please contact Mark at
303-245-8666 and special arrangements can be made.

guidelines will not be considered.
Presented as a Lecture-Style Workshop:
These are our most affordable training programs, designed to introduce a subject quickly and efficiently. Students can take notes from the instructor's projected computer screen, and/or bring their own computer to follow along. Lecture-style workshops are normally held on weekday evenings from 6 pm – 9 pm and contain a maximum of 30 students (average is 8-20).
Who Should Take This:
Although no prior Photoshop experience is required, those who are familiar with the software will benefit most from this workshop. Mark covers basic and advanced techniques and everything in between. The sky's the limit! Come prepared for an evening of lighthearted interaction and childlike creativity. Participants are encouraged to submit an image for use during the class. Due to time constraints, if an image doesn't "make the cut," please know that it's nothing personal.
Instructor:
 Mark S. Johnson is a Photoshop luminary, photographer, author, and one of the most passionate instructors you will ever encounter. He wrote, photographed, and designed the internationally-recognized book, Botanical Dreaming—one of five featured books in Outdoor Photographer’s 2008 Annual Landscape issue. Mark's immensely popular eBook, the Photographer's Photoshop CS4 Companion, has helped thousands of photographers from around the globe understand and enjoy Photoshop. His signature video tutorial series, The Photoshop Workbench, was viewed by half a million unique visitors last year.
Through the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, The Radiant Vista, and Boulder Digital Arts, Mark has taught countless people, including Adobe’s Chief Executive Officers, Bruce Chizen and Shantanu Narayen. His articles appear regularly on the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) web site, and his imagery and articles have been featured in Photo Techniques, Nature’s Best, and After Capture magazines.
