Final Cut Pro Hands-On Intensive

Description:
Perhaps you’ve edited a couple of videos in Final Cut or maybe just peeked inside at the interface, but you still don't know what you're doing. Don’t panic! This comprehensive, two-day course begins with a quick review of Final Cut Pro basics and then dives into features that enable you to get the most out of this amazing editing tool!

Day 1 will cover:
FCP Workflow
  - Setup
  - Codecs
Ingest
  - Media Management
  - Capture vs Transfer
  - Import
Basics
  - Overwrite vs Insert
  - Multitrack Video
Tools
  - Ripple, Roll, Slip
  - Replace Edit
  - Multicam

Day 2 will cover:

Transitions and Filters
  - Customizing
  - Color Correction
  - Compositing
Motion Properties
  - Speed
  - Animating
Output
  - Export
  - Compressor
Integration with LiveType and Soundtrack Pro

Note: On Day Two, you will be using headphones provided by the instructor to monitor audio. However, please feel free to bring your own headphones if you have a favorite set that work well for you.

Instruction is presented in Final Cut Studio 3 with Final Cut Pro 7.

These in-depth one or two-day classes are designed for students to follow along with the instructor on BDA-provided Macintosh computers. For maximum impact and the best student experience all intensives are limited to seven participants. Hands-on intensives are usually during the day from 9am - 5pm. Our Hands-On Intensives are the perfect way to gain in-depth knowledge!
Who Should Take This:
Students with a sound understanding of Macintosh OS X who have taken Getting Started with Final Cut Pro, or who have some familiarity with the FCP interface.
Instructor:
Brendan BoykinBrendan Boykin is a trainer, editor, and video production consultant based in Castle Rock. As an Apple Certified Master Trainer and the owner of Creek Mountain Media (a digital video solutions company), Brendan draws on his background in broad and corporate video to provide training to post-production, education, and broad facilities nationwide. A frequent presenter at trade shows and digital video seminars, Brendan is an author, contributing writer, and technical editor/reviewer for numerous Apple Pro Training Series books. One of his latest books is the Final Cut Pro 7 Quick-Reference Guide published by Peachpit Press.

He went at the perfect pace, tailored the class to fit the needs of the attendees, had a sense of humor, was easy to follow, and thoroughly explained things in a way that was easy to understand.
