Description:
This 3-hour lecture style workshop expands
on tools learned in Getting Started with InDesign, Part 1. We will
explore more of InDesign's core features, including managing linked
graphics, importing text, styling objects, and working with layers.
Discover some of InDesign's built-in effects, improve on your text,
add additional pages, and flow text across multiple pages. We will
also cover some time-saving tips and tricks that will help you get the
most out of InDesign and take you to the next user level.
Presented in Adobe CS5, but most of what is taught will apply to earlier
versions of the program.
Presented as a Lecture-Style Workshop:
These are our most affordable training programs, designed to introduce a subject quickly and efficiently. Students can take notes from the instructor's projected computer screen, and/or bring their own computer to follow along. Lecture-style workshops are normally held on weekday evenings from 6 pm – 9 pm and contain a maximum of 30 students (average is 8-20).
Instructor:
Erica Gamet, co-owner of Digital Dimensions, is an InDesign trainer with more than 18 years' experience in the pre-press trenches. She has contributed to InDesign Magazine and Design Tools Monthly and is the author of The InDesigners Workbook series. Erica presents her InDesign and pre-press courses to advertising agencies and designers nationwide and at her training facility in Westminster, Colorado.
