Dreamweaver, this

clean code
while being easy to use, and is considered the industry standard for
WYSIWYG
(What You See Is What You Get) HTML editors. In this 3-hour

to set up
a website, as well as techniques for creating basic HTML pages.
This workshop will cover:
-
Defining a new site using the Dreamweaver site manager
- Choosing one of Dreamweaver’s built-in CSS
template layouts
- The Dreamweaver interface
- Adding text, links, and images
- CSS styles
to get the
look you want
- A brief look at some Dreamweaver Spry
widgets
- Previewing work in browsers
- Publishing work via FTP
- Creating a Dreamweaver template for additional
pages
Presented in Adobe CS5, but most of what is taught will apply to earlier
versions of the program.
Presented as a Lecture-Style Workshop:
These are our most affordable training programs, designed to introduce a subject quickly and efficiently. Students can take notes from the instructor's projected computer screen, and/or bring their own computer to follow along. Lecture-style workshops are normally held on weekday evenings from 6 pm – 9 pm and contain a maximum of 30 students (average is 8-20).
Who Should Take This:
Visually-oriented people who want to design a website but are more comfortable working with a graphical editor than straight code. This workshop is designed for students who have never used Dreamweaver before, or who have looked at the interface a little but have no idea what they're doing. Students should have a sound working knowledge of either a PC or Mac.
Instructor:
Judi Dressler, owner of Sites and Beyond, LLC, has provided professional web design and development since 2001. Her computer experience goes back to many years of programming in the 70’s, and she has always had a flair for art, almost (but not quite) majoring in art and illustration as an undergraduate. Judi has taught many classes on a variety of computer applications, including many on web design, and she also tutors one-on-one. She made her first website about fifteen years ago using html and is happy that professional development software such as Dreamweaver is now available!
