Marketing with Social Media
Registration is required for this offering (below).
Description:

Social Media is a quickly emerging form of online media that is becoming just as important as advertising and public relations, if not more so, for many organizations.

Social media is a critical component of search engine optimization (SEO) and web marketing campaigns. It's also one of the last legitimate ways your business website can get a massive amount of traffic and links without spending a lot of money. Web marketers who use social media skillfully have a massive competitive advantage over those who don't.

Don't be left in the dark! If you've been hearing a lot about social media (sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn), and you want to understand more about it before diving in deeper, this class is a perfect introduction. It will cover the basics of social media from business / marketing perspective - and it will leave you inspired and confident in how to better use social media to promote your own brand or organization.

This class will cover the basics of:

  • Social networking (Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Conversational publishing (blogging)
  • Microblogging (Twitter)
  • Social bookmarks and voting sites (Digg, Delicious)
  • Online video (YouTube)
  • Reference Sites (Wikipedia, Squidoo, Hub Pages)
  • Creating "home run" social media content
  • Tips for success & productivity
