Getting Started with Final Cut Pro 7

Characteristics Of This Class:

If you want to edit video professionally, this workshop is a great introduction to Final Cut Pro 7, no experience required! If you're ready for something more than iMovie, start editing with Apple's legacy non-linear editing application.

We'll cover how to set up your computer so it works best with Final Cut Pro 7 and teach how to get your project off the ground - from Digitizing to Basic Editing. By the end of the class you'll be able to import video from your camera, start from scratch on your own project, and get a timeline built.

This workshop will cover:
  • Exploring the interface and workflow
  • Discussing import and export formats
  • Executing a primary and secondary edit
  • Overview of enhanced edits
Instruction is presented in Final Cut Studio 3 with Final Cut Pro 7.
