Creating Composite Images with Your iPhone

Characteristics Of This Class:

The iPhone is not only a powerful tool for documenting your life through single imagery, it also enables you to create stunning composite work. By developing awareness and mastering the best apps for this creative process, you'll refine what you want to say and allow yourself to tap into your creative spirit.

You'll learn just how much is possible on the iPhone and refine your artistic direction, deciding what you really want to create. You'll learn to see both the pictures that present themselves and those that emerge when we combine seemingly random images.

The instructor will teach 4-5 apps used for compositing as well as two separate camera apps. We will take breaks for a photo shoots and use those images to practice compositing. You may also bring in other images you wish to work with. The afternoon involves refining your use of the apps with plenty of practice time and one-on-one time with the instructor.

Who Should Take This:

Beginning, amateur, and hobbyist photographers who are comfortable with basic photography concepts.

Karen Divine

Karen Divine

Karen Divine first studied photography in the early 1970's and went on to study painting, drawing, and alternative photographic processes. While she finds that creating a beautiful single image is crucial to being a fine-art photographer, it is the multi-image that speaks to her heart. She has won numerous awards from international organizations, including the 2011 Discovery of the Year Nominee from International Photography Awards, the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers, the Prix de la Photographie Gold Award, and a first place WPGA Pollux Award.

The instructor was perfect, calm and enthusiastic.
