Teen Summer Camp Open House
We're thrilled to announce BDA's first summer camp - designed for teens (ages 13-17) to learn web design and development, and we'd like to invite all interested parents and teens to come visit our 6,000 square foot facility, meet our staff, and hear from our instructor Brian Shaffer! Join us on Tuesday April 24 at our Summer Camp Open House, and learn more about this unique opportunity. No need to pregister, but we won't mind if you do, so we can plan food and beverage.
This week-long Web Development summer camp leverages our 14-year track record of providing cutting-edge training toward the goal of teaching teens these important skills in a safe, fun and engaging environment. It's clear that an understanding of this technology is basic fluency today and in the future and learning these types of things at a young age is a tremendous advantage.
Camp participants will build an actual sample website from the ground up using industry-wide best practices, through an engaging combination of hands-on learning, lectures, and guided practice time that will walk them through the process, from designing the user interface to writing HTML and CSS, and even basic search engine optimization.
Registration fees are $425 for families that have a current BDA membership and $450 for non-member families. That's right, if you're a BDA member, you can register on behalf of your child at the discounted rate!
This first summer camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm during the week of July 9th through the 13th. If you'd like to register your child for this exciting program, as well as see a detailed itinerary of the whole week, this page has complete details. Space is very limited so we encourage you to consider registering soon! Meanwhile, we look forward to meeting you on April 24th at BDA!
