Panel Discussion Following Film

After the film (one-hour), stick around for an engaging panel discussion with three Colorado-based designers!

Walter Breakell, CodeCraft School's UX Design Lead Instructor
Walter brings years of experience in innovative design, development, and UX to CodeCraft. Walter has founded and worked for a number of award winning design, and web agencies. His clients have included Rolex, Levis, Warren Miller Entertainment, Denver Nuggets, Evian, Hyatt, and Kellogg's. Walter brings over 10 years of college teaching experience to CodeCraft. He has been recently involved in projects focusing on education, wellness, and community. When not deep in customer journeys, sketch app, sublime text or creating human centered content, he teaches courses in UX, Graphic and Web Design at CodeCraft School.

Michael Chavez, Design Instructor at Boulder Digital Arts
For the past 10 years he has been dedicated to the art of visual communication through graphic design. Michael has taught graphic design at various colleges and institutions while also successfully running his own single man design shop. He has also served on the board of AIGA Colorado since 2012. On a day-to-day basis, Michael not only uses the industry standard of design software but he also teaches the use of those programs. He has worked on projects big and small from branding and identity programs to logo design, collateral, typographic expression, digital illustration and different formatting for print, web, and social media. Michael is a Colorado native that loves letterforms, bicycles, and enjoying the outdoors with his family.

Shawn Meek, Assistant Professor of Communication Design, Metropolitan State University Shawn Meek specializes in branding, UI / UX and front-end development with over a decade of commercial experience. He has served clients large and small to create custom websites, digital campaigns, social integrations, mobile UI as well as identity and brand development. Meek has worked for a number of award-winning advertising agencies yet left the commercial sector to pursue teaching full-time. Meek has taught Communication Design at the University of the Incarnate Word, Texas State University, Fort Lewis College and currently teaches interactive design at Metropolitan State University of Denver within the Communication Design program. When he is not teaching, Meek runs a one-man freelance operation with clientele in the nonprofit, education and communications industries. Meek's work has been recognized for excellence by leading communication design organizations, publications and journals, which include: Graphis, Logo Lounge, AIGA, American Advertising Federation, CMYK, Rockport and HarperCollins Publishers.
