This month's exciting Salon features a presentation by long-time pilot (both manned aircraft and remote drones!) Doug La Farge. Over the past six years, drones have emerged as not only a viable option for rich-media producers (photographers, filmmakers, ad agencies), they are now an integral tool. The ability to place a camera sensor anywhere in a 3D space has changed how rich-media producers acquire imagery for their various projects. For this Salon presentation, Doug will be discussing the evolution of drones and how they've enabled rich-media producers to capture imagery that in the past was either difficult or impossible to attain. He'll also discuss the evolution of the sUAS industry as it pertains to media creation, as well as going into specifics on current trends including the latest in drone imaging hardware (latest camera sensors, etc.). Finally, he'll share how his companies have been integrating this emerging technology to help meet the needs of their clients.
