Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide high-quality educational photography workshops that give students a place to learn new information and then try out what they are learning in a hands-on situation. We believe that this learn then try method results in better retention of what is learned and allows the individual to grow as a photographer.

About the Instructor:
Matthew Davies an award winning photographer who has been teaching and mentoring for the past nine years. He also holds a Photographic Craftsman degree from the Professional Photographers of America. This degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that he has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. He has been awarded the photographic craftsman degree in recognition of his service to the photographic profession as an orator, author and mentor. He is an active member of Professional Photographers of America, American Society of Media Photographers, American Society of Photographers and American Photographic Artists.

About the Workshops:
We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced workshops that cover a wide range of topics from introductions to digital photography and basic lighting, to very focused concepts, such as dramatic portrait lighting and photography business start-up.

Our workshops will focus on helping you learn all about different aspects of photography in a practical and educational format. Our workshops will begin with a classroom style education where we will review lessons about the particular topic. We will then follow up with hands-on activities to put what you learned into practice. We will be a rather relaxed workshop that will encourage dialogue and idea exchange throughout the sessions. What you won’t find here is a free-for-all shootout where a lighting is set up and a model placed and everyone fires away.
