AHO PhotoGraphics & Nail It Productions
I am the founder and owner of AHO PhotoGraphics, a digital photography and videography business based in Boulder, CO.
In 1986 I bought a Pentax ME Super from my sister, and I have been hooked on photography ever since. I've had formal training in photography at the college level, and have been practicing photography in as many forms as possible since 1993.
In 1993 I began teaching photography workshops for the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival, and I return there every July for a week of fantastic photography in the mountains of Colorado. Surprising even myself, my reputation as an exceptionally clear, knowledgeable, accessible and humorous teacher grows yearly.
I have also taught classes for Colorado Free University, and I am wide open to private or group workshops (see website for details or contact me by phone: 303*819*1544!)
I began working at the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival in 2000, and came away highly inspired by the idea and possibilities of documentary films, and soon I had purchased the 3 chip Canon GL-1 digital video camera.
I continue to take my video and Canon D-SLR 10D camera everywhere I go: I dont want to miss anything!
Like many who want to get into film or photography, I found work as a freelance wedding videographer and photographer at first, working for AllDigitalWeddings.com, based in Boulder, CO.
I continue to shoot with various 3 chip cameras and producing DVDs in Final Cut Pro 5.0HD. I also own a Panasonic DV 3 chip camera with supporting gear.
I am particularly interested in various adventure sports and social documentary films in all subject matters, in virtually every nook and cranny of this amazing planet. All aspects of film-making 'rock my world'!
I work shooting various sporting events all over Colorado for MyRaceDay.com. Some of these events I will come away with over 2800 images to process, publish, and sell.
Its sometimes hard to believe, but I have even traveled to Hollywood to work as a stills and publicity photographer on a video series set called 'Safeside', working with John Walsh of Americas Most Wanted.
I am more than open to traveling with you to South America to photograph or shoot video of your upcoming expedition on Anconcagua. In this regard, I have an extensive outdoor background and WFR and current CPR certification, as well as mountaineering and rock-climbing skills. Or I am psyched to shoot your wedding, your bar mitzvah, or anything else you may desire...
In addition, I have particular love of teaching photography, and is open to any sort of instruction you may need, digital or film.
I look forward to hearing more about your projects, needs for photo instruction, or what sort of photos you may be looking for that I can provide.
You are also welcome to email me for plenty of professional tips for both photo and video.
