Topic for January 2015 - Learn How to Create Custom, Mobile-Friendly WordPress Websites for Clients
If you build websites for clients, learn how you can get a jump start on your theme development by using WP Jump Start 2.0. Jump Start is built on the Twitter Bootstrap framework and takes advantage of many open source resources as well as unique functionality to allow you to build themes quickly and easily that implement:
- The full icon set from FontAwesome
- Images, galleries, and videos that display in the Magnfipop responsive lightbox
- Highly customized layouts using a Builder feature for full-width layouts with parallax scrolling, various backgrounds, columns, Google maps, and more!
- Custom widget areas for every part of the site
- Dozens of short codes for quick insertion of columns, buttons, post lists, post grids
- Many customizable templates
- Child theme with accessible CSS
This one-hour presentation will introduce you to all everything you will dive into deep during our upcoming Creating Responsive WordPress Themes In-Depth Intensive, and will help you see how learning a theme framework (as the basis for your theme customizations) can really fast-track your development time!
WordPress Guru, Angela Bowman, will be the facilitator for this session as she shares ideas and insights in matters important to WordPress development, marketing, security and design.
(Note: Following this lunch, be sure to sign up for Maintaining Your WordPress Website: Preventing Hacking and Data Loss. During this small-group, hands-on course, Angela will walk you step by step through actually implementing various security measures and maintenance tasks on your website.)
This is a Free Lunch Hour Event but you MUST register to be able to attend. ONLY 30 SEATS AVAILABLE!

Great event. Just enough information to know what I need to do. And a good preview of what details would be provided in the upcoming class. Angela is a good teacher. I think this format should be used more often to preview upcoming classes for evaluations.StevenRead All Comments
