I was trained as a youngster in fine art and composition, sold paintings and did arts shows as early as nine years old, thanks to a professional artists who was my mentor. However, I grew up and got busy making a living and that creative talent got lost over the years. Besides art, I've always been drawn to photography, since I'm a visual person. The age of digital and the advanced technology of today's cameras have allowed me, with not much technical training, to put my creative/artistic talent to good use. In May of 2005 I retired after 25 years in the business world....threw away my suit and tie and began to have fun again, behind the lens of a digital camera.....in our flower garden. Using a Cannon Rebel XT. Giving a portion of proceeds from the sale of my stuff to Ovarian Cancer research, because I want to make a difference.
