WordPress - Essential Plugins

Characteristics Of This Class:

A successful website and blog depends on so much more than just a beautiful design and thoughtful content - it needs to gather traffic, build community, and function smoothly. WordPress enables you to extend its functionality using plugins to do exactly that!

In this class you will learn which plugins to use to attract search engines and provide ways for your visitors to engage with you for a healthy, robust website or blog.

This workshop will cover plugins for:

  • Search engine optimization
  • Contact forms
  • Social sharing
  • Spam prevention
  • Editing pages and posts
  • Rich text widgets
  • Database management
  • RSS feeds
  • and more!

Who Should Take This:

People who need to do more with their WordPress site but aren't ready to write code just yet. You must have a site set up and ready in WordPress 3.0+.

If you don't really know how to edit basic content in your WordPress site, take WordPress for Beginners - How to Run Your Own Site/Blog first.
